Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades Review

Hia Ladies so I wanted to share with you something that I have been obsessed with for almost a year. Its the Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in Way To Glow. I picked this up in my local Boots months back. I didn't have high hopes for it being that it was so cheap but everything was on 3 for 2 so I bought it, & I'm so glad I did. This has become an everyday necessity for me, I just cant be without it!

Shade: Way To Glow

These pictures really don't show the true beauty of this product! This can be used as a highlighter or a blush. I use this just as a highlighter! I take a little bit of the creamy shade on my Real Techniques contour brush and apply it to my cheek bones, down my nose and a little on the chin because I am so pale it just looks beautiful on the skin. If I'm looking for a warmer glow I just swirl my brush around all shades and apply it to my cheeks and it give me a beautiful warm glow. I think this product is amazing and it goes a long way. I have been using the same one of I bought almost a year ago and I have only now started to hit pan. I will for certain be repurchasing this and I recommend you all give it a try!

Real Techniques Core Collection

There are four brush in this collection, the pointed foundation brush, buffing brush, detailer brush and the contour brush. The brushes come in a black panoramic 2-in-1 case + stand.


To start the review off I am going to talk about the pointed foundation brush. This brush just like all the other real technique brush is super soft and has Taklon bristles. The brush itself in my opinion is just not big enough for applying foundation brush as it would take way to long to apply. I have tried it with foundation and it applied it beautifully but it just is to time consuming for me. I would recommend this brush for concealing large areas. Here are some pictures of the brush itself and a side by side of the brush next to a regular size foundation brush (the brush used to show the difference in size is the No7 foundation brush if your wondering)

The second brush I am going to talk about is the buffing brush. This is actually my favourite brush from the collection. Its super soft and has Taklon bristles. It has just the right amount of density for applying bronzer and buffing in foundation. Here are some pictures:

The third brush in the collection I am going to talk about is the contour brush. This brush just like the others is super soft and has Taklon bristles. This brush is perfect for getting into the hallows of your cheeks when contouring also I like this brush for applying blush to the apples of the cheeks or to highlight my cheek bones. This brush is a great brush to have in your makeup bag as its multifunctional. Here are some pictures:

The last brush in the collection is the detailer brush. Its also super soft and has Taklon bristles. This brush is great for spot concealing or for using to apply lip products. Here are some pictures:

The brushes also come in a 2-in-1 case + stand. I really like this case as its sturdy and fits perfectly in my bag and there is also room for some more brushes should I need them. Here are some pictures of the brushes in the case/stand:

I would recommend this brush set as its perfect for on the go or just having at home on your dressing table. I have used these brushes not stop since I have got them. They have not shed on me which I am delighted about because I hate brushes that shed. They wash really well and dry over night. So all in all I give this set a thumbs up and recommend you try it out.

Real Techniques Powder Brush Review

Bristles: Just like the stippling brush the bristles on this brush are Taklon and there super soft. The bristles on this brush have just the right amount of density for using with powder products.

Shedding: I have noticed no shedding whats so ever with this brush

My thoughts: I love this brush, I am pretty sure I will love the whole Real Technique brush line. This brush just like the stippling brush is beautiful. Its light to hold and applies powders effortlessly. I love using this for bronzer and for setting my foundation with powder. It leaves your skin looking flawless and doesnt apply to heavy a layer of powder..


Do I recommend this brush? Yes I would recommend this brush its perfect for use with powders and gets the job done quick and easy. It is well worth the money.


Price: In Ireland in boots it is priced at €17.89 which may seem a little pricey but in my opinion its worth the money.

Real Techniques stippling brush review

 Real Techniques Stippling brush

What it claims to do:

On the box it says: My dual-fiber stippling brush is the trade secret for creating airbrushed, high definition results with all types of makeup. Looks pixel perfect in even harsh light. Ultra plush taklon bristles.


My thoughts:

My first impression of this brush when I opened it was how pretty it was and how light and sturdy it is. The taklon bristles were so soft and the bristles are dense. I love the way it can stand up on its own, it looks lovely standing up on my dressing table. When I first used this brush for the first time I really wanted to test it. So I used my Estee Lauder double wear foundation. This foundation is tough on brushes it sticks to the bristles and is so hard to wash out of my M.A.C 187. But with the Real Techniques stippling brush it applied like a dream it was quick and effortless. My only wish was that the brush was a little bigger for larger areas but other than that Ive no complaints. I am now in love with this brush and I don't know how I lived without it. Before this I used my M.A.C 187 but I hated using it for foundation as it sheds so bad, the Real Techniques hasn't shed on me yet but the M.A.C 187 sheds like crazy. I will a review on that brush if you want more information on it. But at for the Real techniques stippling brush I am in love and I recommend it to everyone.
